Productions that travel; stories that move
Support the future of Nomad Theatre Collective
We believe in the power of stories to move people across emotions, perspectives, and places. We want to bring theatre to locations throughout Michiana, making the arts more accessible, more local, and more reflective of the world we live in.
Your donation helps us uplift local artists, produce bold and inclusive stories, and create a theatre experience rooted in respect, community, and curiosity. Every dollar helps us keep moving and growing.
Help us build a theatre that travels, tells the truth, and brings people together.
R.U.R.: Rossum's Universal Robots
Nomad Theatre Collective presents its modernized adaptation of the 1920 science fiction classic, R.U.R.: Rossum’s Universal Robots, by Czech playwright Karel Čapek. R.U.R. boasts the distinction of introducing the word “robot” to the English language.
A cautionary tale about playing god, the possibilities awakened by artificial intelligence, and, ultimately, humanity’s capacity for engineering its own demise, R.U.R. remains as relevant as it was over a century ago, in the aftermath of World War I.
Performances: October 30-31st, & November 6-7th
Battell Community Center 904 N Main St. Mishawaka, IN
